Title: Music of the Spheres
Author: Anonymous
Recipient:
waterfall8484Fandom: Sarah Jane Adventures, plus some Torchwood and Doctor Who; Heroes
Rating: PG-13 for violence, I guess, especially as it involves a minor
Character(s): Maria Jackson, Luke Smith, Sarah Jane Smith, Jack Harkness, Martha Jones, Tenth Doctor; appearances by Clyde Langer, Ianto Jones, Gwen Cooper, Mickey Smith, Elle Bishop, Bob Bishop
Warnings (if any): Well, some bad stuff happens to Luke (okay, not
that kind of bad stuff, I did say “violence”), which is where the rating comes from. This somehow developed a plot and turned into a
monster of epic proportions, so it’s…long. Like really long. Jack does his usual “captain of the innuendo squad” thing, but it’s no more than what you’d generally see in Doctor Who. Emo Doctor is emo.
Spoilers for: All Doctor Who and spinoffs up through “Journey’s End” but before “Music of the Spheres” (which means SJA through “The Lost Boy” and TW through “Exit Wounds,” too), but if for some reason you’ve seen season 4 of Doctor Who but skipped season 3, this probably won’t make much sense. Heroes…I’m just gonna say through season 2, but this probably takes place some indefinite time after the beginning of season 2 and whenever it is that Elle gets her arm hurt. Her being in it is really the only Heroes-verse spoiler.
Notes: You know, I hated “Last of the Time Lords,” at least the first three times I watched it, and after the total win and awesome of “Turn Left,” I found “The Stolen Earth” a little disappointing and “Journey’s End” far more so. Why’d I then write a fic that depends so heavily on LotTL in particular and brings in lots of JE references at the end? Got me. Also, I completely made up the whole “mule” thing; as far as I know, the Company hasn’t even thought of trying that. Any errors of science, weaponry, British English, etc. are my own fault for not having it Britpicked or beta’d, although I did try to do my research a little. I’m also not the biggest fan of Torchwood, so my impressions of the Hub’s layout are fuzzy at best and flat wrong at worst.
Part Two( Luke had thought vaguely, at one point when the Xylok was in his head, that things couldn’t get worse. )
